ANISA ASAKAWA is a fine artist based in Boston. As the daughter of a botanist & a forester, her childhood involved traveling the world on expeditions to find the rarest and most extraordinary plants. She grew up exploring coral reefs and tide pools in Hawai’i, hiking through jungles in Malaysia and camping throughout the midwest. She received a BFA from Washington University in St. Louis where she developed a love for all expressions of fine art. Anisa lives in the Boston area with her husband where they make art and study medicine, respectively.
